Friends,
Friends,
We're very excited today to announce a special collaboration with New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees,
the Brees Dream Foundation and Companies with a Mission, to provide
another very important benefit to volunteering in observance of 9/11
this year. Read today's press release by clicking here.
You can also watch Drew's short video about the program on our website, and catch him talking more about it on ESPN later today (Monday afternoon) at 3:30 PM EDT/2:30 PM CT.
Here's how it works: Individuals who participate in, or organize volunteer projects for 9/11 -- and any time through November 30, 2013 -- will have the opportunity, through Drew's Super Service Challenge to nominate nonprofits to receive significant financial awards. If you lead or work for a nonprofit, you can nominate your own organization.
Just Sign Up at the Super Service Challenge right away to get started.
The Super Service Challenge will give out up to $1 million dollars this year to deserving 501c(3) nonprofit organizations nominated by their volunteers. A panel of respected judges will help select this year's winners, to be announced coinciding with the Super Bowl at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey in February, 2014.
We're teaming up with Drew and the Super Service Challenge because we want to provide as many ways as possible to reward those who volunteer in observance of 9/11, and the many nonprofits that participate as well.
I hope you'll sign up to be part of the Super Service Challenge, and join Drew Brees and so many others throughout the nation who will be observing this 9/11 as a day of charitable service, volunteerism and good deeds. Visit 911day.org for more information.
